Move-In Days Calendar

ONLINE PRE-ARRIVAL CHECK-IN AVAILABLE

You can complete your Pre-Arrival Online Check-In in My UAHome. This process is where you'll select your Move-In day and time, review and agree to our Policies & Procedures for Dorm Living, and tell us some final information. You can also download and print your unloading dash pass. Online Check-In must be completed before you arrive on campus. This helps to ensure things go quickly when you arrive at your dorm to check-in.

As we get closer to Move-In, you'll also receive helpful information via email about Move-In, including dorm-specific unloading and parking maps. Emails will be sent to your UArizona CatMail email address, personal email, as well as any alternate contacts you listed in your housing application.

Note: Sorority and fraternity recruitment events will take place AFTER classes begin. Students who are participating in recruitment will move in to their assigned dorm during their selected Move-In day and time.

PREPARING FOR MOVE-IN

Information about Move-In – including unloading/parking maps and dorm-specific information – can be found here. There’s also a checklist of suggested “What to Bring/What Not to Bring” items.

Students living in a suite, pod, or room with a private restroom are responsible for cleaning their own restroom and will be required to provide their own toilet paper and cleaning supplies. A list of suggested items to bring can be found here; Honors Village residents have a specific checklist for bathrooms and kitchens that can be found here.

Assignments

The University cannot and will not consider any request for room/roommate change when that request is based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, perceived socio-economic status, or perceptions based on online profiles or information found on these profiles.

Roommates

Your room assignment will be available in your housing application in My UAHome. Even if you have already viewed your room assignment, please re-check it before you arrive. Click on Undergraduate Housing Applications in the portal menuRoommate information is available on your Application Status page. You can send a message to your roommate(s) from that page.

If no roommate information is displaying on your Application Status page in My UAHome:

  • you have not yet been assigned a roommate; or
  • the student originally assigned as your roommate has cancelled their housing*

*Your roommate could change between now and your arrival if your current roommate cancels their housing. In a situation like this, another student will be assigned to your room, and their information will then appear on your Application Status page. No additional notice will be sent to you.

Payment Plans & Rent

You can enroll in an optional rent payment plan in My UAHome.

If your financial aid covers some or all housing costs, and your rent has not been posted at the time financial aid is applied to your account, you may receive a financial aid distribution check. You will still need to pay your rent and should use this check to pay it. Payment is due by the first day of classes, August 21, 2023. You can review your account and make payments in UAccess by logging into your Student Center.

MOVE-IN: THE BIG DAY

More information about the Move-In process by dorm will be posted here and shared with incoming residents and family members via emails throughout the summer.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS TO MOVE-IN

Please go directly to your dorm. We encourage you to please review unloading/parking maps and dorm-specific information.

New residents:

If you requested your CatCard during Orientation prior to the deadline date (July 30), your CatCard will be given to you at your dorm's front desk when you check-in.

  • If you did not meet the CatCard deadline, you will need to go to the CatCard office in-person in order to obtain your card after you have checked in and your vehicle is unloaded. Location and hours can be found at: catcard.arizona.edu

Returning residents:

Bring your CatCard with you! This will help expedite the check-in process at your dorm and will ensure you have building access after you Move-In.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

Late Arrivals

If you are planning to arrive after 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, please contact Housing at 520-621-6501 or housing@arizona.edu. If we don't hear from you, you will be considered a no-show and your housing assignment would become subject to cancellation.

Laundry

Our new laundry system will accept payment at the machine via the use of a debit/credit card, the vendor's app (WASH-Connect), or by using a pre-paid laundry card. The machines are unable to accept payment using your CatCard*. Pre-paid laundry cards will be available for purchase at the SUMC Bookstore. Each laundry card will be pre-loaded at $36 (10 washes/10 drys). CatCa$h may be used for this purchase. Laundry cards cannot be reloaded, students must purchase a new laundry card. Any monies remaining on the card at the end of the year will be able to be reused during the next academic year. *This update does not apply to the Honors Village dorm, where CatCa$h is accepted at the machine.

Temporary Housing, FYI

Please be aware that in order to accommodate as many students as possible at the beginning of the school year, we accept more students than our capacity and house them in temporary spaces inside the dorms. Students who may be in Temporary Housing at the start of the year have been notified.

Cancellation

If you no longer plan to live in campus housing, please click on the ‘Cancel Housing Application’ link in My UAHome and follow the prompts to cancel your Undergraduate 2023-2024 housing application.
