This weekend, the coast of Texas was devastated by torrential storms and historic amounts of flooding due to Tropical Storm Harvey, and there are still more storms anticipated. At the University of Arizona, we recognize our Wildcat family is wide and sprawling, and that many of our students and staff have loved ones who are directly impacted by this storm. Our hearts go out to all those who have lost loved ones and those who are still at-risk.
If you or someone you know is affected and you need someone to speak with, your Wildcat family is here to support you. Please, do not hesitate to reach out to a Resident Assistant or Community Director in your residence hall. Housing & Residential Life Student Assistance is also available to provide support. Please to contact the Student Assistance Coordinator, Analía Cuevas, at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment (there is no cost). There are also a variety of resources on campus here for you, including the Dean of Students and Counseling and Psych Services (CAPS).
Above all, please know that your Wildcat family is here for you during this time.
