COVID-19 Testing Update – PCR Saline Gargle testing

COVID-19 Testing Update – PCR Saline Gargle testing

The following information was shared Sunday, March 14 with current on-campus residents. Please refer to the University's main Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information page regularly for important campus information.

We appreciate that you have dedicated time in your schedule for weekly COVID-19 testing. Your continued efforts and flexibility have helped keep our campus community safe and have contributed to a low positivity rate in the dorms and across campus. This is truly an accomplishment and does not go unnoticed. Thank you!
This week, campus housing residents will transition from antigen testing to PCR saline gargle (SG) testing. Starting Monday, March 15, you will be able to schedule appointments for PCR SG tests at the North Ballroom in the Student Union and NorthREC, or you can get tested with no appointment necessary at two SG Pop-Up sites. View SG Pop-Up locations and hours.

Remember: Do not eat, drink, use mouthwash, brush your teeth, chew gum, smoke or vape for 30 minutes before your PCR SG test.
Starting Thursday, March 18:

  • Global Center will switch to a PCR SG test site. All previously scheduled appointments at Global for March 18 or later will be SG tests.
  • South Ballroom will no longer serve as a Test All Test Smart test site. For your convenience, previously scheduled appointments at the South Ballroom for March 18 or later will shift to the North Ballroom.
