About Housing & Residential Life

About Us

Welcome to Housing & Residential Life – on campus housing at the University of Arizona. Approximately 8,000 students – more than 7,600 undergrads and 300 grads – live in our 23 dorms and one graduate housing apartment complex, La Aldea.

Our dorms range in style (from historic to modern) and size (from small to large). Several dorms have Living Learning Communities for students looking to live with others who share similar identities or academic interests and goals.

While the University of Arizona does not require students to live on campus, it is expected. More than 70% of incoming first-year students choose to live on campus to help their transition to university life.

Your dorm is your community. We have live-in staff, Community Directors (CDs) and Resident Assistants (RAs), whose mission is to create environments where you can hang-out, sleep, study and build friendships.

And with dorms located across campus, you can easily walk or bike for a meal, the Rec Center to work out... and, of course, to class!
