Thank you for your interest in the Assistant Community Director at the University of Arizona. Housing & Residential Life conducts a search for these positions as part of both an annual spring recruitment process and on a rolling basis throughout the year as openings arise.
The University of Arizona is a large public institution with 7,600+ students living on campus – 80% of which are first-year students. Our halls range in style from historic to modern and range in size from 60 to over 1,000 residents.
The Assistant Community Director (ACD) will co-manage and supervise a residential building of over 460–1,000 residents. This position will afford a professional opportunity to expand on the leadership skills gained as an undergraduate and explore the housing field as a possible career path. This is a 12-month full-time live-in position that reports to an Assistant Director and receives daily guidance from a Community Director.
The ACD is a member of Housing’s Residential Education Team and will assist a Community Director in providing residents and student-staff with support and leadership, promoting an inclusive community, and providing crisis response and management.
We will be searching to fill multiple positions. Applications will be available at the end of January. To be considered for an opening, all candidates must complete the appropriate University of Arizona electronic application. A complete application must include:
- The University of Arizona online applicant form on Talent
- Resume
- One-page cover letter
